For the 6th Annual Crawfish Critic Cookoff, cook teams will compete for cash prizes with payouts of $5,000 for 1st place, $2,500 for 2nd, and $1,500 for 3rd. There will also be a $1,000 payout for People’s Choice. Teams are allowed up to 6 members and the event is SCCA sanctioned. Participants must bring their own cookware, seasoning, and cooking gear (BYOTent), while the event organizers will provide the crawfish, cooking site, water, and power. Teams are required to serve food, including crawfish and any side dishes, to the public from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and must cook a minimum of 10 sacks of crawfish. There will be a best booth competition, with the winner receiving a 100% entry fee payout.
