We are an association of cookoff organizers across the south dedicated to unifying crawfish, gumbo, & jambalaya cookoffs under standardized regulations and guidelines.
Our mission is clear: to establish consistent judging standards, celebrate culinary achievements, and meticulously track success. Through integrity, fairness, and community engagement, we ensure that each competition honors Southern culinary heritage while embracing the innovation and passion of every participating team.”

Owner / Founder
Justin founded the SCCA with a vision to bring unity and consistency to competitive Cajun cooking. His leadership ensures that tradition and excellence guide every step we take.
Christian Waldo
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Christian steers the SCCA’s strategic growth, ensuring that we remain an influential authority in unifying cookoff events and elevating standards across the board.
Justin Ainsworth
Chief Operation Officer (COO)
Justin is the Chief Operations Officer, responsible for designing efficient systems and providing leadership to employees in all operational aspects of the association.
Alan Alvarado
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Alan is the voice of the SCCA. He develops marketing strategies that amplify our message, engage enthusiasts, and highlight the authenticity behind every sanctioned cookoff.

Director of Event Operations
