We ARE the Southern Cajun Cookoff Association (SCCA), bringing together competitive cooking events under one standard of excellence.
We are an association of cookoff organizers across the south dedicated to unifying crawfish, gumbo, & jambalaya cookoffs under standardized regulations and guidelines.
Our mission is clear: to establish consistent judging standards, celebrate culinary achievements, and meticulously track success. Through integrity, fairness, and community engagement, we ensure that each competition honors Southern culinary heritage while embracing the innovation and passion of every participating team.

Justin Chiasson
Owner / Founder
Stalekracker is the owner and founder, known for staying true to Cajun traditions while sharing the culture through food, family, and community. His vision is to bring unity and consistency to Cajun competition while preserving the authenticity that makes the culture so special.
Christian Waldo
President
Christian serves as President and is the mind behind the SCCA. As an entrepreneur and influential authority in crawfish cookoffs, he is known for continually introducing fresh ideas while leading with passion, innovation, and a strong commitment to growing the competitive cooking community.
Justin Ainsworth
Chief Operation Officer (COO)
Justin serves as COO of the SCCA, bringing exceptional management skills and steady leadership to the organization’s daily operations. Known for his ability to solve problems and keep things running smoothly, he provides the perfect balance to the CEO’s vision and serves as the quiet strength behind many of the SCCA’s successes.
Austin Sharpen
Director of Sponsorship Acquisition
Austin leads sponsorship development for the SCCA, building relationships with partners who help bring events to life. Though his work is often behind the scenes, he is a very important part of what makes the organization and its events successful.
JayLynn Thibault
EA / Onboarding Director
JayLynn serves as Executive Assistant and Director of Onboarding for the SCCA, wearing many hats across the organization. From helping coordinate daily operations to guiding new teams and partners through the onboarding process, she plays a key role in keeping everything organized and moving forward.
Rusty Noel
Director of Cajun Competition & Development
Rusty serves as Director of Cajun Competitions and Development for the SCCA. With a deep passion for Cajun cooking and competition, he helps develop and grow events while ensuring they stay true to the traditions and spirit of the culture.
Alan Alvarado
Director of Digital Operations
Alan Alvarado oversees the organization’s website and app to ensure a smooth and reliable experience for teams, judges, and the community.
Gerald Chandler
Director of Judging
Gerald leads our judging operations, ensuring a fair, organized, and consistent evaluation process for every entry. In addition, he trains and develops Judging Officials to support future events and maintain the high standards our competitions are known for.
Georgia Stanley
Sponsor Relations Coordinator
Georgia supports sponsor outreach and helps coordinate raffle items that add excitement and value to SCCA events. Through her efforts to connect with supporters and gather contributions, she plays an important role in helping events succeed and keeping the community engaged.
Kristi Leggett
Director of Community Relations
Kristi serves as Director of Community Relations for the SCCA, helping strengthen the connection between the organization, its teams, and the communities it serves. Her dedication to building relationships and supporting events helps foster the welcoming spirit that defines the SCCA.
Lance Waldo
Cook Team Liasion
Lance serves as Cook Team Liaison for the SCCA, acting as the connection between the organization and competing cook teams. Known around events as the “Papa Waldo”, he’s a familiar and fun presence who helps keep communication flowing and makes sure teams feel supported throughout every competition.
